Oval Cube was recommended to Middlesex to move their digital presence up several notches. The attraction of client visits to Lords Cricket Ground naturally proved an incentive but that aside, the lovely people at MCCC are now embracing our new website, email, search and social strategies. SIX!

Everyone at some point has used a Photo-Me booth. Turn any corner at a busy shopping centre or station and you are sure to find one. Over the last 3 years, we have launched Photo-Me websites in 15 subsidiary countries and partner websites for X Factor, Power-Me and MyPocketbook projects.

Photo-Me International requested a full redesign of both their International website and 15 different subsidiary websites, all sharing the same look and feel, a single content management system and published in multiple languages. No small task!
The finished websites had to appeal and work with a wide ranging audience from Institutional investors and shareholders, to partner businesses and the general public.

Photo-Me’s published product range, news and promotional material was to be administered from one central content management system across the whole group of websites. Each subsidiary required their own administration so tired levels of permission were created within the website administration application.
The overall look and feel had to inherit and work with the many existing and disparate corporate identities across the whole Photo-Me Group.

Each new Photo-Me website incorporated a newsletter sign up form. New subscribers were added to existing legacy databases within a new, fully managed email marketing system provided by Oval Cube.
After designing and spam testing the new templates, we provided Photo-Me with an administration suite from which they could publish their own campaigns across multiple subsidiaries, in multiple languages. The success of each campaign can be fully monitored using a comprehensive suite of statistics in addition to full integration with Google analytics.

The Reebok Sports Club in Canary Wharf, London is one of Reebok's flagship gyms around the world and one of the largest gyms in Europe. Oval Cube has worked closely with the club for many years and now fully manages all digital strategies and output.

County Cricket Clubs play a lot of matches! Middlesex County Cricket Club, whose home ground is the cathedral of cricket itself, Lords, will contest the County Championship as well as 40 over and 20 over formats of the game this season.
Our first job was to design a standalone website for the 2011 Middlesex Panthers t20 campaign.
Oval Cube was charged with creating a website that matched the dynamism of the Twenty20 format and which raised the clubs digital exposure and marketing. Game on!

Charged with our brief, Oval Cube set about designing a new website to include team and squad profiles, fixtures and results lists, venue information and media uploads (photo’s, video and PDF’s) all driven by an easy to administer content management system.
An additional core objective of the project was to increase the search visibility and performance of the whole website. With this in mind, the website was design from the ground up to conform to search engine optimisation best practices. Full integration with Google analytics was also undertaken to enable performance monitoring.

An essential addition to the new Middlesex County Cricket Club t20 website was its integration with key social media channels, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube to promote the MCCC brand and raise its search engine performance.
A “jumbo footer” was designed to publish automated social media feeds. A fully branded Wordpress blog was also integrated into the finished website; with Oval Cube advising on Middlesex County Cricket Club’s social and search strategies going forward.

The smashing people at ITV’s Knowledge Management required a usable, easy to navigate web application to enable simpler and wider access within the company to their vast number of reports and statistics. Now they can rank, like and associate reports to their hearts content!

ITV’s Audience Research Knowledge, or ARK to its close friends, is designed to broaden the company’s internal audience to its vast output of reports and statistics.
ARK is an internal, non public facing project, but the design brief still requested a fun and usable application to drive a greater usage of the published material.
First stop was the logo. Corporate identity guidelines and pallets had to be adhered to and the incorporation of the core ITV logo required, so much head scratching was undertaken before the finished design was signed off.

Core to ARK’s integration within the ITV network is its use of the existing Windows Users accounts within the company current IT infrastructure. No additional login by a user is required, removing an important obstacle to its usage by ITV staff.
Once onboard the ARK, users can pin and detach reports and news stories to their dashboard, rate content, take part in polls and search all published materials as well as subscribing to email alerts and notifications of when future material is posted.

ARK’s enhanced user experience is just one side of the coin. With the ability to track what users like, rate and subscribe to, ARK can now compile reports about reports!
Future planned developments including integrating the segmented subscriber lists within ARK to the API of our comprehensive email marketing suite. This will enable a fully transparent and reportable chain of user interaction from ARK's front end to the distribution and receipt of emailed reports and data.
In short, ARK’s administrators will know who looked at what, when and why!

Two London councils and the future of thousands of kids, the Building Future Schools project was a big one! Oval Cube designed and developed a website to showcase all of the future plans across both Croydon and Kingston. Unfortunately, on the week of its launch, the government pulled the plug!

A prestigious, joint local authority project. Very visual, very dynamic and youth orientated. On paper, The “Transforming Education in Croydon and Kingston” project was a big one and a future cornerstone for our proud portfolio.
The reality was, upon the week of completion, the new coalition government pulled the plug on the whole Building Future Schools project nationwide, and our shinny new website was confined to the archives.

Ok, so the finished website was destined for the great web archives in the sky (say hi to boo.com), but that doesn’t mean that we cannot show off some of our very individual design concepts. So here goes ...

The finished TECK project was no small undertaking either. The final delivered work consisted of three websites. One overall group website and a separate website for each council’s Education Department, all controlled from one central content management system.
The cancelation of the project at such a late stage was unfortunate, especially for the passionate and focused team at the council who we worked alongside.
